How do you get a cold in May?

I am sitting on the couch on this Memorial Day feeling completely awful. My nose is about to run off of my face and my head feels huge. I'm really not sure where I contracted this cold, but I figure I'll take this chance to update my blog.

On the wedding front, I bought a dress at a designer sale. It was exactly what I was looking for. I don't want to post pictures of it yet, but I will tell you it is very lacy and it an ivory color. We have also booked a venue along with a caterer and our photographer. Things are coming together! Now, I am working on figuring out the invitations and possibly making my own centerpieces and flowers. We'll see how it goes. I'm not the most crafty person!

On the job front, I start back nannying the kiddos in about a week or so. I am super excited! Last summer, we only had one car for the majority of it, which meant the kids and I were stuck walking anywhere we wanted to go. I also feel more comfortable driving around our area. I have a group interview tomorrow. I am really nervous and, honestly, I kind of want to cancel it. I'm sure Keagle would absolutely kill me. It is just really hard for me to do things like this. It makes me nervous thinking about trying to find this place, trying to find a place to park, and then having to go through the interview process. After all of that, I may not even get the job. How discouraging.

On the weightloss front, I have been very successful. I started getting back in shape in January. The scale shows I have lost about 10 pounds, but with the muscle I have gained, I'm going to guess I've lost about 15 pounds of fat and gained 5 pounds of muscle. I have also lost 3 pants sizes. I am very proud of how I am doing. I even now have arm muscles! Exciting!

Well, there isn't much else going on in my life. If I think of anything more exciting, I will certainly try to write about it. For now, I hope everyone is having a fabulous Memorial Day. Make sure to thank those you know who have served our country. I have been thinking about my grandparents, and a few aunts and uncles who were in the service. Keagle and I plan on having a mega-extended edition-Lord of the Rings marathon today. We are going to be the nerdiest family once we have children...
